Motorama started a custom car show in the Expo Hall that catered to the youth tuner community. The show was appropriately entitled “Tuner Wars” and was an instant success. Over a span of nearly two decades, the show continues as it has morphed into one of the most diverse custom car, truck and bike shows in the country following the trends and styling changes that the industry has seen over the years.
The show took a name change a little over 10 years ago and is now titled Motorama’s Car, Truck, and Bike Show and caters to all types of custom vehicles. As you walk the tightly packed show floor you will see a large variety of vehicles, some new, some old, some customized, some restored, some lifted high in the sky and some slammed on the ground, some rolling on 2-wheels, 4-wheels or even 3-wheels. It is clearly visible that over the last two decades the various segments of the automotive customizing market have blurred the lines so much that they have naturally created a melting pot of build styles.
Today’s younger enthusiasts have been shaving engine bays and performing wire tucks to give their under-hood a clean finished look copying what the Hot-Rodders have been doing for decades, and where do you think the use of 22” + wheels on classic Street Machines and Hot Rods has come from? That’s right, from seeing the big wheel small sidewall tires on the youthful tuner cars. The desire to “Bridge the Gap” as we call it has been accomplished here at Motorama bringing together all ages of automotive enthusiasts into one exciting show that includes all types of vehicles from radical works of art to mild daily driven customs. All types of vehicles are on display right here at Motorama in the Custom Car Truck and Bike Show.
When walking through the show please take the time to talk to various vehicle exhibitors, don’t hesitate to ask them about their vehicle, and most importantly don’t forget to walk away with some ideas of how you are going to customize your own ride. Also, be sure to support all the amazing sponsors and vendors who are on hand. You will find lots of relatable gear, collectibles, tools, radio-controlled vehicles, and other novelty items for sale on the show floor.
Thank you for visiting us at Motorama Races and Shows and we hope you enjoy the show. See you next year!
Sincerely,
Deb Gibson and team
