If you are a fan of Modifieds, Late Models, and Sprint Cars this is the event for you! Do not let their size fool you. A more appropriate term would be Scale Dirt Oval racing. These cars have more adjustments than their full-size counterparts. Notable names that have raced these on a serious level include Busch Champion Jeff Green, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Tony Stewart. Tony Stewart was so involved that he bought the leading chassis manufacturer at the time. That company, Custom Works is here as a vendor this weekend.
These cars can hit 30 real mph on our small track which scaled up to their full-size counterpart would be 300mph—using an all-electronic power plant with adjustability to every aspect of it. From the amount of torque, to just how fast the power is applied every parameter can be adjusted allowing their drivers to fine-tune it to track conditions. Even down to tires for the cars, the process of preparing them is treated scientifically. From which chemicals are added to them, to how much tread depth they want.
This year the excitement will be nonstop with the best drivers from around the country trying with everything they have to bring home the coveted “Big M” Motorama trophy. Stop by and catch some action. You can even pick up a car from one of the vendors and jump into scale dirt oval racing at one of the many tracks in the Northeast area.
Respectfully,
Alphie Adams and the Oval Operations Team
