Ms. Motorama is crowned every year on Sunday afternoon on the Speed Show Stage at Motorama. Contestants participate in 3 rounds of competition, interviews, sportswear, and swimwear, as well as participate in several charity functions throughout the weekend. Competing in the Ms. Motorama pageant has been a huge stepping stone for many women looking to gain notoriety and exposure within the Motorsports Industry. Along with a large cash prize and the honor of being the Trophy Girl for all the arenacross races at Motorama, Ms. Motorama has many opportunities throughout the year of her reign to support several charities, and do appearances throughout the northeast as the face of the largest all indoor motorsports show in the country!
Melanie’s love for the automotive and motorsports industry began when she was a toddler riding in her Dad’s 1959 Chevy El Camino. She grew up by his side as he worked on his cars in the garage, and when he attended car shows. As a teen, Melanie got into riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes which became a major source of fun and challenge. In 2011, Melanie was crowned the Clearfield County Fair Queen and it was with this role she was expected to hold a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network. Given her love for classics, Melanie decided to hold a car show to raise funds in 2012 at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. At her first-ever car show, she had over 110 cars participate and the event was deemed such a great success that it was held annually for years to follow. Melanie’s hometown heard of her great success with the car show and asked her to hold one for their local street fair. Soon after that, she was asked if she could hold a car show to raise money for the local fire department and then the local park, and the following year for a local pool. Each year Melanie developed more car shows. More and more car owners were participating and attendance was growing so that in time her shows were naturally branded Mel’s Car Shows.
2022 was a big year for Melanie. Mel’s Car Shows was celebrating 10 years of successful shows. In the last decade, Melanie was responsible for holding over 40 car-related events and raised over $189,000 for diverse charities. Melanie was nominated for news station WTAJ’s Remarkable Woman and won for her region while competing for Ms. Motorama. This was Melanie’s year as she was awarded the Philanthropy Award, 2nd Runner-Up in Swimwear, 2nd Runner-Up in People’s Choice, Best in Sportswear, and Best in Interviews to win the prized honor to be named Ms. Motorama 2022.
Melanie wants to encourage any woman that has even the smallest interest in motorsports to compete in Ms. Motorama. Ms. Motorama provides a chance for networking, making new friends, and new opportunities.
Melanie would like to thank each and every one of her family members, friends, supporters and fans; for their support during her reign and for giving her a great year!
